Secret of Rey's Parents Revealed in Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

Secret of Rey's Parents Revealed in Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

It goes on and on my friend...

One of the biggest questions we were left with at the end of The Force Awakens, aside from "Do you think Luke makes his own organic soap out there on that space island?" was "Who the heck are Rey's parents?" Ridley herself has been inundated with questions about Rey and her parents at every public appearance, from interview to the ever popular Star Wars conventions. But assuming for a moment that she doesn't have such information...

I thought a lot was answered in "The Force Awakens". Then after the screening I went for a drink with my agent and everyone, and we were chatting away and I realized that oh, in their minds it's not answered at all!

"I think curiosity is a wonderful thing", Ridley observed. 'And I do find it quite amusing that people keep asking about it. And I was like, "chill out, you'll see"!

And I suspect that the Fort Worth police officer in that video has had prior experience dealing with Darth Vader ... as seen in this clip from 2015.

And also, who might young Rey's (Daisy Ridley) father be? That's exactly what I imagine she felt that night. Hell, I don't even mind that they recycled story elements from the original trilogy: Rey, Finn and Han (oops, I mean Poe) aren't simple clones of Luke, Leia and - um... - well, our new protagonists aren't as similar to the OT heroes as some of the naysayers suggest, though the same can not be said about the First Order. We'll have to wait for Episode IX for that.

But you know what we get to do?

That being said, I thought you might get a smile out of this little Star Wars clip, courtesy of the Fort Worth Police Department.

This answer got me thinking about earlier this year, when a portrait of Rey came out, naming her "Rey Skywalker." This means that a lot of the seeds planted in TFA already have clear indications as to their payoff later down the line. I still wanna know!

As well, it could be that Abrams is lying. Fans have wondered if Rey could secretly be a Skywalker, a Kenobi, a Solo, a Palpatine, an Erso, or some combination of the above.
