Dashcam video released from Tiger Woods arrest

Police in Florida say Tiger Woods has been arrested for DUI. When the officer points out that Woods shoe is untied, Woods places his right foot on the front of the police vehicle and starts to fiddle with the laces.

CNN reports that a video shows Woods' auto nearly halfway out of the right lane, protruding into a bike lane.

He told police he had not been drinking but was taking three prescription medications, including the opioid painkiller Vicodin.

The model, who has 8 million followers on Instagram, said she had no history with Woods, including phone calls or text messages.

Woods was arrested 3 a.m. Monday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, an incident Woods later clarified in a statement was the result of an "unexpected reaction to prescribed medications".

In the dashcam video that police released, the athlete is not seen immediately but is heard telling officers off-camera that he did not know where he was.

Woods took two breathalyzer tests after his DUI arrest and scored a.000.

"I am following the light", Woods replied, jabbing his finger awkwardly at it.

"Do you know the reason I'm out with you now, right?" one of the officers asked Woods, according to the USA Today report.

ESPN quoted the official police report in the case, saying Woods was suffering from extremely slow and slurred speech.

"I didn't realise the mix of medications had affected me so strongly".

Woods was found asleep behind the wheel of his damaged Mercedes-Benz in the early hours of Monday morning.

Woods, who is recovering from back surgery, apologised and said he took "full responsibility" after spending almost four hours in jail.

Woods' arraignment in Palm Beach County court is scheduled for July 5.

The 14-time major champion was taken into custody at 2:49 am Monday, booked into jail at 7:18 am and released on his own recognisance at 10:50 am.

Woods underwent surgery on his back for the fourth time on 20 April and last week claimed he had "not felt this good in years". I would like to apologise with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. He has played just one PGA Tour event since August 2015 because of other back surgeries.
