New search underway near home of London Bridge attackers

Police said six women and four men arrested after the attack were still being questioned.

Khuram Butt, a 27-year-old British citizen who was born in Pakistan, was known to the police and MI5 and was the subject of an investigation in 2015.

London Metropolitan Police have identified two of the three attackers involved in Saturday's violent rampage on and around London Bridge, releasing photos of Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane and asking the public for help in tracing their movements.

Rachid Redouane (center) and Youssef Zaghba have been named as the suspects in Saturday's attack at London Bridge.

Police say investigations were continuing into the identity of the third attacker.

The three men, who wore fake suicide vests, were shot to death by police.

Butt had appeared in a television documentary called "The Jihadis Next Door", broadcast previous year by Britain's Channel 4, one of a group of men who unfurled an Islamic State flag in a park.

The family of London resident James McMullan, 32, believe he is among the seven killed in Saturday's terror attack.

"Detectives investigating the London Bridge terror attack have carried out a search warrant at an address in east London in the early hours of Wednesday, 07 June".

Police raided properties in Barking on Sunday and two on Monday in nearby Newham and Barking.

Butt was a supporter of the banned Islamist group al-Muhajiroun and was also featured in a documentary from Channel 4 titled The Jihadis Next Door, which discussed the threat of Islamic extremism in London. "However, there was no intelligence to suggest that this attack was being planned", the Metropolitan Police said. As soon as we heard about the incident we immediately suspended dynamic pricing all around the area of the attacks-and shortly afterwards across the whole of central London-just as we did following the attacks in Manchester and Westminster. "I'm sure the police will look into what they knew, what they could have done, what they did do and if anything could have been done differently".

Prime Minister Theresa May came under pressure from the media and the opposition Labour Party on Monday over cuts to police funding during the years when she was interior minister.

Of the 48 people injured, 36 are London hospitals and 18 are in a critical condition, police said. He and Butt both lived in Barking.

At least two of the men were known to British intelligence and law-enforcement officials, raising questions about whether anything could have been done to prevent the assault.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan issued a swift condemnation of the attackers, saying he was "appalled and furious" at the "cowardly" attack.
