Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S3, aims to capture share of tablet market

Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launch date and venue are out

Samsung has already confirmed the Galaxy Note 8, but hasn't said which features the device might offer. Samsung sent out the invites for the Galaxy S8 launch a month before the event, so expect the Note 8 event invites to appear on July 18 or 25 if Samsung is true to form.

This is the first Samsung tablet to feature a four stereo setup tuned by AKG to provide rich surround sound.

Next month, Samsung also plans to release the refurbished Galaxy Note 7, a short-lived device released previous year whose production was suspended after some devices caught fire while charging.

Samsung's new tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The internal memory is 32GB which can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD. The tablet is priced at a Rs. 47,990 (approximately Dollars 745) and is up for grabs on both online and offline markets. The non-removable battery holds enough juice to power the tablet through 12 hour of video playback. The tablet will be available for purchase at offline retail stores and company's India website from today for Rs 47,990.

The Galaxy J5 Prime has a rear camera of 13MP and a front camera of 5MP with flash on both the side for better photos during low lighting conditions. Last year, the Galaxy Note7 also had an early debut, which many believe, led to its demise, with Samsung rushing the production process. Other key connectivity specs include Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac dual-band MIMO, GPS with GLONASS, and a USB 3.1 Type-C port. Keeping the lights on is a 6000mAh capacity battery with fast charging support. It comes with Samsung Flow for working back and forth from the tablet and samartphone. It also has a fingerprint scanner integrated into its home button.

Despite garnering a ton of plaudits when it first launched, the Galaxy Note 7 turned into a total disaster that culminated in Samsung issuing a global recall for the handset.
