Milner delivers verdict on new Liverpool signing Salah

Liverpool Transfer News

Liverpool's latest signing Mohamed Salah has spoken about his time at Chelsea, and how he feels that could help him this time around in the Premier League.

As we reported earlier this week, the transfer fee was just below Liverpool's record - with the player signing a five year deal at Anfield for £34M. Dubbed the "African Deco", Keita has burst onto the scene in an impressive season with his current side - helping Leipzig finish second in the Bundesliga last season, securing a Champions League spot for next term.

Berger told Omnisport he felt Salah was "a great addition to the squad" and added: "He's a good player, technically he's very good, fast, he can score goals, create goals".

The 25-year-old has been a long-term target, with Liverpool missing out on his signature three years ago when he joined Chelsea before embarking on an underwhelming spell in the Premier League.

Berger said he felt Jurgen Klopp's side were "close" to being able to win the Premier League, adding: "You can see that everyone is happy and they're enjoying their football. I always think about the small details because I need to improve more and more".

For now, fans will have to wait and see what other players may be arriving in Anfield before the season gets going again in August.

However, Serie A expert Horncastle has backed Liverpool's signing of Salah, summarising what some of his former managers have said about the Egyptian star. I have followed him since he emerged at Basel and he has matured into a really good player.

Salah, who has also played for Basel, Chelsea and Fiorentina, has been capped 52 times, scoring 29 global goals. He scored a few goals - 15 or 16 I think he got, playing on the right wing.
