The long-awaited 'Super NES Classic' is finally unveiled

Super Nintendo Classic Edition

Nintendo will release the Japanese Super Nintendo Classic later than in USA and Europe. However, one of the biggest areas of criticism about the device was the length of its controller cords. Hopefully this time Nintendo will be making enough to keep up with demand, instead of what happened with the NES Classic. The Super NES Classic edition comes with 21 built-in games and two controllers. It is also compatible with the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro accessories.

Europe will also be getting a similar design to Japan, though it will be labeled as the SNES Classic Edition.

Nintendo yesterday confirmed that a SNES version of its Nintendo Classic Mini console will be arriving this autumn on September 29th. Many US Nintendo fans already indicated to import the Super Famicom Classic or SNES Mini just to get the better looking design.

Will the SNES Mini be as hard to find as its predecessor the NES Mini?

"It's important to recognize where our future is and the key areas that we need to drive", Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé in late April. Among these include Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Earthbound, and Star Fox. You'll actually have to unlock Star Fox 2 as a bonus game by finishing the first level of the original Star Fox. An HDMI cable is included in the box, along with a USB cable but NOT an AC power plug. It's the same console, just with some different visual flair.

Even if you are playing Kirby's Dream Course, you'll at least be able to control the game from a reasonable distance this time around.

Nintendo has announced that the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is coming back to stores in the form of the Super NES Classic Edition.

Much like how they've said that the discontinuation of the NES Classic Edition was due to their lack of "unlimited resources", Nintendo is once again singing the same tune.
