James Bond 25 Release Date Announced

The global super spy known for his exacting martini preferences, James Bond, will return to theaters in 2019.

The news comes after Eon Productions, which oversees the 007 franchise, and studio MGM announced the next Bond film would hit North American theaters on November 8, 2019.

Speculation regarding Daniel Craig's future as the worlds greatest super spy James Bond has been a hot topic of conversation since the release of Spectre a year ago.

Adele, who sang the lead track for "Skyfall", is also hoped to return for the soundtrack for "James Bond 25".

It has been confirmed Bond 25 will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have collaborated on previous Bond films starring Craig, including "Casino Royale", "Quantum of Solace", "Skyfall", and "Spectre". The book series continued after Fleming's death in 1964. According to the usually reliable Birth.Movies.Death, they have heard from a source reportedly close to the production that EON is "looking to do one more Bond then sell the franchise off, a la George Lucas/Star Wars/Disney".

While I would have liked the chance to see another actor as Bond, I do enjoy Craig's run and he's still by no means the longest-running Bond. Bond 25 is set to hit theaters November 8, 2019.

Apart from the release date, nothing more was mentioned to the public, including the cast or even who will be directing the film. We know that's still quite a long time to go, but we guess at least we have a release date to look forward to.

If Daniel Craig does return as Bond, it will be the fifth time he has played the role. Enough time for Daniel Craig to build distance between him and the role of Bond.

Rumors swirled that longtime Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were thinking of recasting the iconic MI6 agent. He is one of the most popular choices, thanks to his work on the likes of Inception and the Dark Knight trilogy.

After the latest movie "Spectre" was released, the actor told Time Out London he'd "rather. slash [his] wrists" than do another Bond flick. We were hoping for Christopher Nolan, but let's give the guy a chance if the rumours turn out to be true.
