Leonard Ellerbe Says Mayweather Prepared For McGregor's Style

Nathan Cleverly to face Badou Jack on Mayweather v McGregor event, August 26

THE controversy that unfolded since Paulie Malignaggi stormed out of Conor McGregor's training camp has taken a new twist. "Conor vs Paulie Malignaggi former IBF/WBA World Champion", White said in one of the tweets.

"He was looking for an exit", McGregor said of Malignaggi's decision to quit his camp after the Irishman's camp released a photo of their sparring session.

Much has been made in recent weeks of the fallout between Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi after the retired two-time boxing champion abruptly left McGregor's training camp following two sparring sessions.

"He knows there's no racism from me", said McGregor through gritted teeth. Straight after it we were anxious.

In the 14-second clip McGregor can be seen landing several crisp straight lefts, one of which snaps Malignaggi's head back, plus some small shots and rabbit punches.

It follows a similar availability from Mayweather on Thursday, in which Mayweather spoke confidently about the prospect that he would knock out McGregor - even though he hasn't won a fight by knockout since 2011. White maintains this shows McGregor in the ascendancy.

Mayweather is the heavy favourite having gone 49 bouts undefeated with McGregor never stepping into a professional ring.

"He was knocked down, the ropes kept him up multiple times, he was badly concussed".

"Wait until you see when (Mayweather) falls - how you all write him off after this and he becomes like Aldo", McGregor told reporters at the UFC Performance Institute.

Both fighters have said that the contest at the T-Mobile Arena will not go the full 12 rounds. "You can't prepare for me".

"Like I said, if I was to label him as any animal then it would be a rat or a weasel", said McGregor through gritted teeth.
