Mission: Impossible 6 Production on Hold Due to Tom Cruise Injury

Paramount Pictures, the producers of Mission Impossible 6, confirmed filming would be postponed while Cruise recovers. Currently, Paramount is still planning for a release on July 27, 2018, but Deadline says that this will "almost certainly" be changed.

Submit your Newswire tips here. Cruise, in typical Cruise form, sat after his injury with an icepack around his ankle and rewatched the take where he broke it, saying, "That's a pretty cool shot!"

Cruise has a nasty habit of nearly killing himself on set, but McQuarrie says that this isn't a sign that the 55-year-old action star should slow down anytime soon.

The 55-year-old actor was seen attached to a rigging and jumping off scaffolding in a video from the set, where he's seen falling short and hitting the building's side.

Cruise has also performed a zero gravity stunt inside of a plane for the movie "The Mummy" which is a very complicated and intricate stunt to complete. He is scheduled to see a doctor this week.

Mission: Impossible 6 director Christopher McQuarrie told Britain's Empire magazine in an interview posted on Wednesday that the production schedule would be rearranged to shoot around Cruise while he recovers.

Cinematographer Rob Hardy took to Instagram to show off this clapperboard, which reveals that the movie's first take was filmed on Saturday the 8th of April. "According to our insider, the A-lister is doing his best to stay positive as his bones heal".

"I was scared s--less", Cruise admitted of his "Mission: Impossible 5" stunt.

Mission: Impossible 6 will be Cruise's sixth outing as Hunt, and he'll be joined by returning cast members Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris.

News has emerged that something may have gone awry during production on Mission: Impossible 6 in London this past weekend.
