Powerball winning numbers drawn for $430 million jackpot

The Powerball jackpot will continue to climb, because no winners were announced after Wednesday night's drawing. A $1 million ticket was sold in the Heights last week.

The next Powerball lottery drawing is Saturday night.

It was the first week both Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots topped $300 million.

No one won the $430 million Powerball jackpot in Wednesday's drawing.

Hot Lotto - $9.53 million for Saturday's drawing, with the lottery paying the initial income tax withholding taxes on the jackpot.

No one became a $432 million richer overnight. The ticket had five winning numbers.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players have roughly a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to win the second prize of at least $1 million.

Powerball tickets are $2 and available at most convenience stores and grocery stores.

The 6th highest jackpot was $448 million was won in part by a Rhinelander native in 2013.

A $2 ticket gives you a one in an nearly 300 million chance of winning the big prize.
