White Supremacist Daniel Borden Charged in Charlottesville, Va., Attack of Deandre Harris

Harris told WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina that the beating resulted in a broken wrist, chipped tooth, busted lip and eight staples to close the wound in his head. His attorney, Greg Berberich, says Borden turned himself in immediately after being notified that an warrant was issued for his arrest.

An arrest has finally been made in the brutal attack of Deandre Harris that occurred during the Unite The Right racist rally in Charlottesville, Va. Police arrested Mason, Ohio resident Daniel Borden, 18, Friday evening and charged him with malicious wounding, according to WCPO.

In a statement, the Charlottesville Police announced that the toll of injured persons in the auto attack on a crowd of anti-racist counter-demonstrators has been raised to 35. His last known residence was Marietta, Ga. In the days after the violence in Charlottesville, local police faced criticism for failing to stop violence at the hands of white supremacists.

Anyone with information on Ramos' whereabouts is asked to call police.

"Our decision to release the video of this significant event is consistent with our regular calls for law enforcement to release body-camera video that depicts any incident of public concern", a Saturday statement from the ACLU of Virginia said.

52-year-old Richard Wilson Preston is charged with discharging a firearm within 1000 feet of a school.

James Alex Fields Jr. faces second-degree murder charges for driving a vehicle into counter-protesters and killing Heather Heyer. Ramos is also charged with malicious wounding, Charlottesville police said.

A second man, Alex Michael Ramos, 33, also is suspected of beating Harris, police told NBC29.
