Korea to deploy new THAAD launchers just 3 days after announcement

South Korea is building bunker-buster missiles to obliterate North Korean despot Kim Jong-un's cave boltholes

Meanwhile, the White House said President Donald Trump had spoken Tuesday with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to discuss North Korea's latest nuclear test.

Four more rocket launchers will be installed this week at the USA missile defence base in South Korea, the Ministry of National Defence said today.

Many residents have expressed concerns that THAAD - which is created to shoot down short- and intermediate-range ballistic missiles - will cause environmental and health problems for locals, due to its emission of electromagnetic waves.

Trump is to speak Wednesday with China's president.

"To be more precise, I think it is altogether impossible", he added. There are now two launchers at the location. China has opposed deployment of THAAD, saying its powerful radar can probe deep into its territory, undermining its security.

He cited the North's continued provocations, including "ill-advised" ballistic missile launches and inflammatory warnings of nuclear war, highlighted by its sixth nuclear test Sunday.

Amid heightened tension around the North Korean nuke tests, South Korea said it will station an additional four THAAD air defense systems in the country's U.S. military base, local media said.

They also agreed to keep cooperating in a campaign to apply "maximum pressure" on Pyongyang in order to force its leadership to abandon the nuclear and missile programs, said the ministry.

Mr Putin told him the North Korean problem should be solved diplomatically, according to Seoul's presidential office.

Now, the missile defense system reliably closes the sky above South Korea.

The US is also expected to present a North Korean sanctions resolution at the United Nations, and is aiming for a vote to take place next week, AFP reported on Monday.

Abe will meet Putin on Thursday.
