Man City striker Aguero hurt in auto crash

Man City’s Aguero hurt in car crash report

Sergio Aguero has broken his silence after being involved in a auto crash on Thursday night.

Sergio Agüero, the Manchester City striker, has been injured in a vehicle accident in Amsterdam, the club has confirmed.

Aguero's absence means Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus is likely to lead the line for City at Stamford Bridge, where they have won only once in their previous seven attempts, and for much a busy schedule that now packs in 12 fixtures over the next two months at home and overseas.

A statement from the club reads: "Sergio Aguero will be assessed by Club doctors today after being involved in a road accident on Thursday".

Conte also said that playmaker Eden Hazard was ready for his first league start of the season after an impressive midweek display against Atletico, while midfielder Danny Drinkwater would miss the City game through injury.

According to first indications, Aguero could be sidelined for two months if the injuries prove to be as reported.

Riding high at the concert, Aguero shared a short clip of Maluma in his element on stage.

"I think the players have to rest mentally and physically".

"I've broken a rib, now I'm resting. And when he skidded, we hit a pole", he said. "I'll be discharged in a little while".

City manager Pep Guardiola is under pressure to make good on a huge amount of pre-season spending that saw him splash out more than £130 million on three full-backs alone by bringing major silverware back to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola's City know a thing or two about scoring goals themselves, of course, having wracked up no fewer than 16 on their last three league outings against Liverpool (5-0), Watford (0-6) and Crystal Palace (5-0).
