Korean lawmaker says N. Korea hacked war plans

Which countries have nuclear weapons- map

A pair of B-1B Lancers, American supersonic nuclear-capable bombers flying out of Guam, carried out their first joint nighttime mission with South Korea over the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday night.

Senior diplomats of South Korea and the United States will meet next week to discuss issues of mutual concern, including North Korea's evolving nuclear and missile threats, the foreign ministry here said Wednesday.

North Korea has launched two missiles over Japan and conducted its sixth nuclear test in recent weeks as it fast advances towards its goal of developing a nuclear-tipped missile capable of hitting the USA mainland.

"North Korean actions are illegal, in defiance of United Nations Security Council resolutions and Australia will play our part in supporting South Korea and allies in deterring North Korea from further provocative acts and compelling it to return to the negotiating table", Bishop noted.

The U.S. bombers took off from the Andersen Air Force base in Guam, the U.S. Pacific territory that North Korea singled out as a possible target for a missile strike over the summer, as President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un engaged in bombastic rhetoric and brinkmanship.

Meanwhile this information emerged around the same time the U.S. military flew two strategic bombers over the Korean peninsula in a show of force late on Tuesday. Pyongyang belatedly responded by relocating some of its military aircraft to its east coast, the National Intelligence Service then said.

USA and South Korean wartime operational plans, including a plan to wipe out the North Korean leadership, were stolen by North Korean hackers a year ago, a South Korean ruling party lawmaker said on Wednesday.

In his latest tweet over the weekend, Trump reiterated that diplomatic efforts with North Korea have consistently failed, adding that "only one thing will work".

In his speech before the United Nations General Assembly in September, Trump said the U.S. will "totally destroy" North Korea if it pushes ahead with its development of nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Park met Carter at the former president's home in Plains, Georgia, on September 28, he told South Korea's JoongAng Daily newspaper, with Carter saying he "wants to play a constructive role for peace on the Korean Peninsula, as he did in 1994".

He said the North's strategic forces have "inexhaustible power that won't leave aggressor state America unpunished".

The South Korean Unification Ministry could not confirm that the complex has been reopened, but did say that recent bus movements and illuminated street lamps in the site have been observed.

The meetings come amid growing tension after the North conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear detonation test early last month. North Korea needs time and proof to believe that abandoning its nuclear programme will contribute to its own political and economic advantage.

"In this region, we now have a joint task group which is traveling through. the region", she said.

"The U.S. continues to kick up the racket of frantic nuclear war drills even though the situation on the Korean peninsula is on the verge of the outbreak of a worldwide thermonuclear war", the commentary read.
