Premiere for Louis CK's 'I Love You, Daddy' is canceled

Louis CK's controversial 'I Love You, Daddy' cancels premiere ahead of NY Times story

Suddenly, he asked if he could take his penis out. "I definitely wasn't encouraging it", she told the Times.

"He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating", Goodman said. And yet another woman charged that she could hear the comedian masturbating while she spoke on the phone with him during an alleged incident in 2003. In The Times piece, numerous woman said he would ask to masturbate in front of them.

"I'm not going to answer to that stuff, because they're rumors", the comedian said.

"In light of the allegations concerning Louis C.K. referenced in today's New York Times, we are cancelling tonight's premiere of "I Love You, Daddy". (Reps for the premiere cited "unexpected circumstances.") C.K. was also booked to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Thursday night but canceled at the last minute, according to a source.

Thursday night's NY premiere for the film was scrapped at the last minute, reported Deadline, as rumours of the Times expose began to swirl.

"There is never a place for the behavior detailed in these allegations", a spokesman for The Orchard, the film's distributor, said in a statement. At the time, C.K. defended the film's script, telling THR, "we're depicting oxygen-rich people who live in these lovely apartments and offices saying whatever they want".

In September, CK was asked about rumours of sexual misconduct by the NY Times at the Toronto film festival, which he dismissed as simply "rumours".

The Woody Allen-esque film tells the story of a successful TV writer-producer that attempts to stop his 17-year-old daughter's growing admiration and relationship with a 68-year-old filmmaker. His portrayals are essentially Louis C.K.

Rumors surrounding the 50-year-old comedian's alleged misconduct picked up steam after Tig Notaro told The Daily Beast in August that Louis C.K. had to "handle" them.

The Times story's three listed writers included Jodi Kantor, who also co-wrote the paper's earlier investigative reports on fallen movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, accused by almost 80 women of sexually harassing, coercing, assaulting or raping them in episodes dating back four decades.

The accusations follow a massive wave of sexual misconduct allegations published at the Times and elsewhere, aimed at prominent men like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Roy Price, Ben Affleck, and even former president George H.W. Bush. She says he asked her over and over if he could masturbate in front of her, and eventually she agreed.

Corry also said that she received an email from C.K.in 2015, years after the alleged incident, in which the comedian offered a "very very very late apology" for his behavior.
