A coating to 1 inch of snow is expected, with snow beginning around 10 a.m., according to Eric Horst of the Millersville University Weather Information Center.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of Maryland as wintry precipitation is expected Sunday.

In the area included in the advisory, forecasters expect those surface temperatures to be at or slightly below freezing for a few hours Sunday morning while precipitation is falling.

Forecasters say light rain should start before dawn Sunday, steadily getting heavier.

But more snow is coming Monday, with North Central Illinois and northeastern Illinois under a winter weather advisory from noon until midnight Monday, according to National Weather Service.

Snow totals look to average around 3"-5" across most of the KWQC Viewing area, with some localized smaller bands of 6"+ developing in or near the area".
