Tesla said it had $3.08 billion in cash and cash-equivalents as of September 30, compared with $3.25 billion at the end of the second quarter. TWITTER has released financial results for its fiscal 2016 third quarter ended SEPTEMBER 30, 2016. The company reported a 20 per cent rise in revenue in the previous quarter and 58 per cent past year. "Our strategy is directly driving growth in audience and engagement, with an acceleration in year over-year growth for daily active usage, Tweet impressions, and time spent for the second consecutive quarter", Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO said in a statement. State officials say California's unemployment rate held steady at 5.5 percent in September. Over the year, 35 states and the District added nonfarm payroll jobs, Wyoming lost jobs, and 14 states were essentially unchanged. The only other sector to post a job decline in September in Stanislaus County was in Leisure and Hospitality , which saw an estimated drop of 400 positions. (more...)

Numbers for the month of September show unemployment at just 3.6% statewide, a 0.3% decline from August, and a 1.2% improvement from the same time a year ago. Manufacturing experienced a small increase of 500 jobs last month and has added 2,300 jobs since June. New Mexico's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is up for the third straight month. (more...)

This week, Ford is shutting its Louisville, Kentucky, factory building the Escape and Lincoln MKC sport utility vehicles, as well as two plants in Mexico that make the Fusion sedan and Fiesta subcompact, according to an e-mailed statement. Social Security benefits go to 66 million people, including retirees, widows, orphans and people with disabilities.
